Stuffing Ingredients
- 16 large white mushrooms (stems removed and cleaned)
- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
For Cooking
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it is hot and ready for cooking.
- Prepare the Filling: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian-style breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped parsley, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly blended into a creamy filling.
- Stuff the Mushrooms: Spoon the prepared filling into each cleaned mushroom cap, slightly mounding the filling on top to ensure each mushroom is well-filled.
- Prepare the Air Fryer Basket: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking. Arrange the stuffed mushrooms in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd them for even cooking.
- Air Fry the Mushrooms: Lightly spray the tops of the stuffed mushrooms with olive oil spray. Cook in the preheated air fryer for 8 to 10 minutes or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling tops are golden and crispy.
- Serve: Remove the mushrooms carefully from the air fryer and serve warm, garnished with additional fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- For a heartier version, add cooked crumbled bacon or sausage to the filling mixture.
- Baby Bella mushrooms can be used instead of white mushrooms for a deeper, richer flavor.
