Description

Air Fryer Stuffed Mushrooms are a quick, delicious appetizer featuring large white mushrooms filled with a creamy mixture of cream cheese, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic, and fresh parsley. This easy-to-make recipe yields golden, crispy-topped mushrooms perfectly cooked in an air fryer, offering a warm and flavorful bite perfect for gatherings or a savory snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Stuffing Ingredients

  • 16 large white mushrooms (stems removed and cleaned)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Cooking

  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it is hot and ready for cooking.
  2. Prepare the Filling: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian-style breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped parsley, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly blended into a creamy filling.
  3. Stuff the Mushrooms: Spoon the prepared filling into each cleaned mushroom cap, slightly mounding the filling on top to ensure each mushroom is well-filled.
  4. Prepare the Air Fryer Basket: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking. Arrange the stuffed mushrooms in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd them for even cooking.
  5. Air Fry the Mushrooms: Lightly spray the tops of the stuffed mushrooms with olive oil spray. Cook in the preheated air fryer for 8 to 10 minutes or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling tops are golden and crispy.
  6. Serve: Remove the mushrooms carefully from the air fryer and serve warm, garnished with additional fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a heartier version, add cooked crumbled bacon or sausage to the filling mixture.
  • Baby Bella mushrooms can be used instead of white mushrooms for a deeper, richer flavor.
