Description

Air Fryer Candied Pecans are a sweet and crunchy treat, perfect for snacking, salads, or gift-giving. Made with pecans, sugar, and a touch of cinnamon, these pecans are caramelized to perfection in the air fryer.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Add the pecans to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the sugar mixture.
  4. Place the coated pecans in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they aren’t overcrowded.
  5. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking.
  6. Once the pecans are golden brown and the sugar has caramelized, remove them from the air fryer and allow them to cool completely on a baking sheet or parchment paper.
  7. Once cooled, the candied pecans will have a crispy, caramelized coating. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • If you prefer a less sweet version, you can reduce the amount of sugar or substitute it with a sugar substitute like stevia.
  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a spicy-sweet kick.
  • These candied pecans make a great addition to salads, oatmeal, or as a snack on their own!
